Queen Elizabeth has celebrated her Diamond Jubilee in grandeur. She described the public's response as a humbling experience, as she thanked the nation at the climax of a spectacular weekend of celebrations.
The celebrations included a concert in front of Buckingham Palace, featuring a star studded line-up of performers who performed on a spectacular stage built around the Queen Victoria Memorial. The other grande events were the Thames Pageant, where by a flotilla of 1000 boats, led by the Queen, sailed down the River Thames, followed by a carriage procession and a service of thanksgiving at St. Paul's Cathedral.
