The Futuristic project “Passing
Cloud” was designed by Tiago Barros from Portugal, who believes that his idea
could soon be realised. It will fascinate anyone who does not care about the
destination but about the journey. The passengers will have the opportunity to
walk on the roof top of this airbus, which will be flying up high in the sky.
It will travel with the wind,
flying over the USA, offering a unique view to the traveller. The purpose of
creating this aircraft is to promote the reduction of the carbon footprint,
giving therefore an aesthetic and interesting option, like this one. The
“Passing Cloud” was presented at the international contest “Life at the Speed
of Rail”, organised by the Van Alen Institute, which is partially funded by the
Department of Cultural Affairs, in New York.
